It's Turkey Time!

This season has been a good one for the turkeys at Green Table Farms and our happy flock is almost ready for Thanksgiving!


Our Certified Organic turkeys are raised out on pasture at Green Table Farms and descended from Frank Reese's breeding stock. Turkeys cost $10.00 per pound and are expected to be mostly between 12 - 14 pounds each.

With Turkey, it’s best to plan for 1 to 1.5 pound per person minimum so let us know how big your crowd will be, and how much you would like in leftovers, and we will pick the bird or birds that are right for your group (and your oven)!


Manhattan Pick-up:
Green Table Farms stand at the Union Square Greenmarket - Saturday, 11/23, 8:00 – 4:00

Brooklyn Pick-up:
Cleaver Co at 257 Columbia St. - Sunday, 11/24, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

Turkeys will be fresh unless frozen is requested. Deliveries in the Hudson Valley may be possible.

Green Table Farms at Union Square Greenmarket

Our own Green Table Farms will be at the Union Square Greenmarket every Saturday for the rest of the season.

We'll be selling fresh whole roasting chickens as well as a variety of chicken parts. Our birds are NOFA-NY Certified Organic and are raised on pasture at our farm in Washington County, NY.

You'll also be able to pick up our famous Chicken Pot Pies or chicken stock, manufactured by Cleaver Co using Green Table Farms chickens.  Both will be available frozen.


Heating Instructions for Cleaver Co Chicken Pot Pies

The filling of your Chicken Pot Pie has been fully cooked prior to freezing.  The pastry crust will bake through in the time it takes to reheat the filling.

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350°
  2. Remove and recycle plastic lid
  3. Place Chicken Pot Pie(s) on a sheet tray or directly onto oven rack
  4. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until crust is brown and filling is bubbling
